Matthew J. Simon

Matthew Simon is the Project Officer for the Legal Tools Project at the Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law (HiiL). He earned an LL.M in Public International Law from the University of Amsterdam in 2009, previously earning a J.D. (2008, Thomas Jefferson School of Law, San Diego, California) and a B.A. in Political Science (2004, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana). He has prior experience, via internships, in international criminal law, working with Trial Chambers and Defence at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), as well as in domestic criminal law with the San Diego County Office of the Public Defender.
